How and Why KoP is Changing
Originally sent to the KoP membership base....
Hi Poppies,
If you are reading this, then CONGRATULATIONS! You are still on the KoP member list! That means you are still here, because 1. you have been an active confirmed member, or 2. you are here because I want you here 8-)
I have just done the first pass over the membership, and at least 30 members have been removed, who either never confirmed their email, never signed in again since joining, or have not signed in the last couple months.
KoP is gradually changing, we will no longer be considered a social network, but a working network for the good of John Quale aka PP, and will be a buzz ground for promoting and publicizing his work, amongst other things. We will no longer just accept anyone, but will be limited to members who are active in this goal, and know what teamwork means. If you are already here, it means you are grandfathered in, but please be aware, that the remaining membership will be subject to periodic deletion if you are not an active contributing member.
The reasons for these changes are several. The first being an evergrowing need to keep this membership to people who are not competitive, can work together, and will not go behind the back of the goal of this site. This is to be a team of players, and what goes on here in the future will be kept behind closed doors (website) until the goal is ready to go public. No need to go into the reasons for this particular change at this time, but we here at KoP have been given good reasons to make this change.
Change 2: KoP is no longer a upgraded site. People on Facebook have speculated over and over again, that the reason we took donations for the upgrade was to put money in the pocket of the site admins. I personally became tired of explaining this is not the case, and have tried to squash the gossip that people sometimes spread who have no clue or facts, and quite frankly, I am done trying. I know there are others out there trying to make a profit off of John and his talent, but KoP is NOT and never will be a profit site! Everything that is done here, or will be done is for the good of John, including the sales from any merchandise that is sold at the MusicRVA Merch Store containing the KoP brand or label. other merch in that store, when sold, is used for other websites like the MusicRVA Network of musicians and bands that exists on another platform. Christmas brought small but good profits to the store in the form of KoP merchandise, and I will be soon sending John the first payout as it becomes available from Zazzle in my Paypal account. (total royalties are yet to be cleared on their books)
I thank you to the few that did donate in the beginning to get this platform upgraded, between your donations, and almost $100 of my own money as well, but with this new change the upgrade will not be needed at this time, or maybe never. What a non upgraded site does mean tho, is no onsite music players, and a few other features we can live without, as well as a drastic reduction in monthly bandwidth, traffic, and the biggest problem will be we went from 1000 mg of space to only 100 mg, this is a huge step down, and one of the biggest reasons for keeping the membership "elite" if you will. We also are only now allowed a max of 250 members, instead of the unlimited we had before. This member factor was one of the main reasons we upgraded in the first place, along with the space restriction, as Shana and myself thought that the membership would grow outside this figure, but we quickly realized that this was causing more problems than not, so another reason we are becoming and elite LOL group of go getters!
For you that are still here, please be sure to stay active, as I will be doing member sweeps again as needed. You also have some new questions to edit in your profiles, as the registration questions have changed once again. I also wish to ask members to try to use http://tinypic.com as much as you can to upload some of your photos, this is a free safe service, and you DO NOT have to sign up to use it. This will help with some of the space issues. And as much as I know you all love your family and pets, please refrain from uploading anything to the site that does NOT have to do with John, PP, or a related cause.
Here are some of the things I will need from members in the future.
Writers, researchers, graphic artists, street team leaders, promoters, publicists, production people, just to name a few.
We will get more extensive on this in the forum in a week or so. I am sure there is much I am forgetting at this time, and I know this is a rather long update, but these changes are for the better!

Poppy Chat Parties Scheduled
There will be 2 chat parties for members before Thanksgiving. The first is on Tuesday, Nov, 16th, at 6PM-9PM EST. This is to accomodate many of our members who have not been able to chat on the weekends.
The next chat party will be on Sunday, Nov, 21st, at 2PM till ????
As before, you don't have to wait for me to be there, you can chat anytime you want. I will however be in and out of chat boths days, so I hope to see you all there.
On both chat days, registration will be open, and new members will be instantly approved who join. Please begin posting the chat in your own friends networks, and invite as many as you like.

Wigging Out: John Quale, a.k.a 'Prince Poppycock,' at DAR Constitution Hall

John Quale expected to don geisha makeup and a powdered wig only once, as a favor to a friend with a Los Angeles performance group called Wig Out. The Washington, D.C., native never guessed that the stage persona Prince Poppycock would become a cult favorite of millions of viewers on NBC's "America's Got Talent" this summer — or that those viewers would help him become one of the season's four finalists.
"[I saw] something that I literally thought was just for a certain demographic and realized that it had a much broader appeal — as long as I stopped taking off my clothes and telling naughty jokes," Quale said while on tour with "America's Got Talent," which stops at DAR Constitution Hall Thursday.

Kingdom of Poppycock Network Logo Challenge
We need talented poppy artists to submit ideas for a Logo that can be used internet wide.
Ironically, with much humor tho, I am finding that altho it is a legitimate word in the English language, the word poppycock is sometimes not very well received. Go figure, LMAO!!
Therefore, I want a logo that specifically reads the initials KoP, writing in Upper/Lower/Upper case. This will be the logo I use when the banner is too big, or the censors say oh oh!
I know there are poppies who good artists, I have seen the art, so I am reaching out to the poppies of the world to create our logo.
All poppies are welcome to submit work, but you must register (it's free and easy) if you are not already a member. Please submit your graphics ideas in the forum at the network. You can add pics by using the picture icon in the rich editor menu when you reply to the post there.
I hope some of you will take me up on this challenge, you will get full credit if your art is chosen.
After we have enough ideas and entries, I will choose the logo, and if I have a split favorite, the network will help by voting.
